Do you like movement? Looking for something new? Want real overall development from your training? Try our parkour classes!
Parkour is a modern movement discipline, whose methodology reaches back to the deepest roots of human development. The central idea of parkour is to perfect one's body and mind so that we can move effectively, controlled and especially healthily in our natural environment. At first glance, simple and elegant jumps, creative movements, and impressive acrobatics conceal complex and well-thought-out training methods. Parkour is non-competitive, so we do not practice under external pressure. We focus only on our own health and the joy of movement.
The training focuses both on the growth of physical strength and the development of movement abilities. You will learn to trust your abilities, work with your own fear, and overcome obstacles, both physical and psychological.
Parkour easily draws one into the present - into one's own body. The movements we make require our full attention. For many, parkour is a way of mental relaxation.
Our coaches can captivate, motivate, and teach. Most of them are active parkourists who dedicate themselves to both training and personal development.
One of the important elements in our classes is playfulness. Our coaches can come up with unexpected warm-ups that reliably transition you from an ordinary day to a parkour mindset. Here, participants were tasked with running back-to-back through the gym searching for colored cones.
Parkourists are renowned for their friendliness towards newcomers. Our classes feature a friendly atmosphere, and everyone tries to help each other.
An extended interview with the girls from the adult classes. Lucka, Kristína, and Eliška discuss their feelings about parkour and experiences with In Motion Academy.
In parkour, we often work with our own fears. Step by step, we explore our limits and gain self-confidence. Terka, after several years of training, evidently no longer has a problem with heights.
The final video of one training group from 2018, where participants practiced a joint parkour choreography in one session.
